A friend showed me this community and i just had to add my 4 prongs.
the picture on the front is a Spork.
There is such a thing as a spork and a Splade.
The difference is that splade has one side with the side and prong being knife like.
As for the eternal discussion, SPORKS FTW!

I actually came up with the idea of the SPLORDEL!
which is a spork combined with a ladel, and as the name implies, is the LORD of the spork kingdom.

It makes me happy in the pants sporks appear in some swiss-army style knives.

just want to say hi to everyone here, and to post my opinion. no not opinion.. its solid fact:

it is a SPORK! not a foon. not a spyladaraadd..izzle.
<.< >.>
its a spork.

because any picture or trip to taco bell will prove that this utensil is primarily spoon. the prongs are far to small to be considered primarily fork. therefore spoon comes first in the word.

Subject:Spork vs Splayd... it's an international debate.

In today's highly uneventful German lesson, we asked our German teacher how to say "spork" in German, to which she replied "Well, it would either be a label or a göffel".

Which brings me to this... the debate truly is a worldwide, and perhaps universe-wide topic.

I would like to know the words for "spork" or "splayd" in any other languages though.

let me add one more term to the mix:

spork or splayd or (and here's the kicker) foon.

personally, i must express my devotion to sporks. perhaps it's because i grew up on the term spork, and i never really got used to foon or splayd. whatever it may be, "spork" is indeed the term that suits me best.

A big hello and welcome to anyone who may be joining this community or just hanging around.

In short, we felt the need for this community to be formed following a debate between myself, fellow owner alinta, and our friend Ashlee. The question, "Spork or Splayd?", led to our devoting an entire Biology lesson to the research of sporks rather than trangenic animal breeding, and prompted us to begin asking everyone in the vicinity, including a sexual education teacher, the answer to this mind boggling question.

So we now have this community, where anyone else plagued by this puzzling question (and I know you're out there) can freely discuss evidence, poinions, or just ramblings regarding our favourite topic; Sporks or Splayds?

So, have fun, enjoy the community, and never stop questioning the misinformed.

- Eric.
